GEVELVERVUILING …?
ONTWERP ANDERS.
"When building sand castles on the beach,
we can ignore the waves
but should watch the tide."1

FAÇADE SOILING ...?
DESIGN DIFFERENDLY.
We see many carefully designed façades and civil structures that pollute unwantedly and severely, and yet this is barely discussed.
What turns out to be the case? Much of that avoidable pollution often arises from a blind spot.
The core message of my book Weer en Wind: de Spelbrekers is aptly summarised in the metaphor:
"When building sand castles on the beach,
we can ignore the waves
but should watch the tide."¹
